Head winemaker Stephanie Putnam sourced the majority of the fruit from the prestigious Oak Knoll district, “an area known for making texture-driven wines that are very supple and round,” she says. The rest of the Cabernet hails from a prime hillside site at 1,800 feet in the far northern reaches of Napa Valley. The vines here lie above the fog line, which means “they enjoy longer daytime ripening hours, helping to create lush tannins,” Stephanie explains.
