Dougherty's 11 Year Old Pre-Prohibition blend of straight rye whiskies. The J.A. Dougherty's SOns' parent company, Trainer & Co. was one of the few given licences to continue bottling whiskey during the prohibition era, which had banned the sale and production of recreational alcohol in 1920. Those with a licence to bottle were permitted to do so solely for the medicinal and baking purpose. The Pennsylvania based distillery acquired these barrels from all over the state during the 1920's and this blend is produced from much of the barrels and bottles left over from the period. This 11 year old whiskey was bottled in 1964 by Publiker at their Kinsey distillery in Linfield Pennsylvania.
