2018 Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond 9 Year 750ml

9 years. 100 proof. Black label. Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Fall 2018 — an early edition of Heaven Hill's beloved BiB Decanter Series, the black label indicating fall distillation season barrels, in the characteristic diamond-cut decanter that defines the program.

The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Decanter Series was launched to significant critical acclaim — bringing the BiB certification's transparency standard to Heaven Hill's wheated mashbill bourbon in a distinctive decanter presentation. The Fall 2018 is one of the earliest editions: produced when the program was new and before it had accumulated the collector following that makes later editions harder to source.

Heaven Hill's wheated bourbon mashbill — wheat as the secondary grain rather than rye — produces a softer, sweeter, more caramel-forward bourbon. The Bottled-in-Bond certification guarantees single season (fall 2009 barrels), single distillery, 100 proof, and federally bonded warehouse production. At 9 years, the Fall 2018 represents an earlier age point in the BiB Decanter program's progression — the wheated mashbill at 9 years still showing more fruit-forward and wheat-grain character than the older vintages in the series.
