A special-edition release of Wild Turkey 81, it features cover artwork by U.S. Air Force veteran Shawn Ganther and was created to support the Veteran Artist Program (VAP).

The Veteran Artist Program is a nonprofit that champions the work of military veterans, promoting their art into the mainstream creative community through networking, collaborations with professional artists, and mentorships. Proceeds from this special-edition bottle benefit that mission, pairing a worthy cause with a distinctive, collectible label. The whiskey inside is Wild Turkey 81 — the brand's approachable, higher-rye expression aged roughly five to eight years and bottled at 81 proof — showing complex notes of spice, oak, fudge, vanilla, and Manuka honey.

As a charitable, artist-designed limited edition, the 2015 VAP bottle stands apart from standard Wild Turkey 81 releases and has become a sought-after collectible for fans of the brand. The Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, is home to one of bourbon's most storied lineages, led for generations by legendary Master Distiller Jimmy Russell — among the longest-tenured master distillers in the world — and his son, Master Distiller Eddie Russell. Combining the Russells' everyday bourbon with a meaningful veteran cause and one-of-a-kind cover art, this Veteran Artist Program Edition is a distinctive and increasingly hard-to-find bottle that celebrates both Kentucky bourbon and the creativity of those who served. Wild Turkey 81 was developed by Eddie Russell as a slightly lower-proof, more mixable companion to the brand's iconic 101, and dressing that everyday bourbon in veteran-designed artwork for a charitable cause makes the VAP edition a uniquely meaningful release. Surviving 2015 bottles are increasingly difficult to find, adding collectible scarcity to the bottle's philanthropic story.

https://www.liquorexpress.us/products/2015-wild-turkey-81-veteran-artist-program-edition-kentucky-straight-bourbon-whiskey-750ml
